All games are 40 minutes long consisting of two 20 minute halves with a two minute break between halves.
- All goals must be scored from the attacking side of center ice.
- Each team will receive one point for tied games, and two points for wins during the round robin portion of the tournament.
- Semi-final and championship tied games will be decided by a sudden death period.
- Players are required to be registered and follow their equipment recommendations, helmets will be required.
- All players must be 21 years of age by the first day of the tournament.
- All teams must have home (white or light) and away (dark) jerseys.
- There will be no goalies.
- Minimum number of players to enter and play in the tournament is 4. Maximum of 6 players. Each team must have 4 players to start a game.
- All nets will be reduced in size to 6″ tall by 6′ wide
- One referee will be used for each game and penalties will be enforced. Any minor penalties such as tripping or slashing will result in a goal for the non-offending team plus puck possession.
- Any major infractions called will result in ejection from the tournament with no replacement and no refund.
- Fighting is strictly prohibited. Any player that fights will be ejected from the tournament with no replacement, no refund and will not be permitted to play the following year.
- Abuse of officials will be considered a major penalty. This includes yelling, swearing or arguing with their calls.
- There is NO checking or body contact. A minor penalty or major penalty will result if the referee deems it serious enough.
- There are no slapshots. If the stick comes above the knee in a slapshot motion it will be deemed a slapshot and a minor penalty.
- There will be no raising the puck.
- A player may not lay his/her stick across the goal mouth to protect the goal area. Such action will result in a minor penalty.
- Players cannot fall or lay on the ice in an effort to protect the goal area. Such action will result in a minor penalty.
- There will be no offsides or icing.
- If the puck goes out of play, the referee will determine who sent the puck out and will give possession to the non-offending team at the point the puck went out. The defending team must provide two stick lengths to their opponent upon re-entry and play must start immediately on the referee’s command (whistle). Puck chasers will be provided and the referee will always have extra pucks ready.
- There will be a center ice face-off to start the game and start the second half. Otherwise, teams will be required to wait on their side of the red line for goals scored and minor penalties. Defensive teams can engage the office teams once the play starts moving up ice. The offensive team must move the puck up ice quickly on the referee’s command (whistle) to keep play moving.
- Player substitution – Players may be substituted on the fly. Player leaving the game must be at the snow boards and not involved in the play.
- No pets are allowed at the event, in the tents or on the ice.
- Refunds and Cancellations:
- Registration fees will not be refunded unless the following conditions apply:
- 1) The entire tournament is canceled due to an act of God. All registration fees would be returned in this circumstance.
2) If your team cancels and there is another team waiting for an open spot in your division and class, and they pay their registration fee in advance, your team registration fee would be refunded to you. If your team cancels and there is no team to take that place in the division and class, you will not receive a refund.
